We are holding a walk-in flu vaccination clinic in Aberaman Surgery tomorrow, Saturday 11th October 2025, from 9:00am – 12:00pm.
We are not planning any further Saturday clinics but there are plenty of appointments in both Aberaman and Monk Street Surgeries every afternoon throughout October.
The Surgery will be closed on both sites on the afternoon of Thursday 11th September 2025 from 1:00pm for clinical staff training which has been provided by Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board across Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr.
From 1:00pm on the 11th September our telephone system will move to an automated message providing contact details for a covering GP Team. This team will only be able to deal with urgent medical problems that cannot wait until the following day. They will not be able to deal with general queries.
Please remember that you should ring 999 for medical emergencies or 111 for NHS health advice.
The Surgery will open as normal from 8:00am the following day, Friday 12th September 2025.
Flu clinics are starting on Wednesday 1st October 2025 and will be held every afternoon in Monk Street and Aberaman Surgeries from 1:00pm. Evening appointments are available every Wednesday in Monk Street until 6:00pm.
These clinics are by appointment only. Please ring the Surgery to make an appointment if you are eligible.
If you do have an appointment with a GP or Practice Nurse, for whatever reason, after the 1st October you can request your flu vaccination during your appointment.
There will be walk-in Flu Clinics on Saturday 4th October 2025 in Monk Street Surgery and on Saturday 11th October 2025 in Aberaman Surgery. These run from 9:00am – 12:00pm and pre-bookable appointments on these dates are also available.
If you or a family member are housebound please ring the Surgery to be added to our housebound flu vaccination list.
All patients aged 65 and over are eligible for a flu vaccination. Patients under 65 are eligible if in an at risk category.
