Due to a significant increase in flu cases across Cwm Taf Morgannwg we have been asked to encourage all our patients to wear masks when visiting our premises.
This is to support the ongoing effort to keep patients and staff as safe as possible during this period of increased flu transmission. We have a supply of masks behind reception if you do not have your own.
Thank you in advance for complying with this. The situation will be reviewed by the Health Board on the 12th January 2026.
The Surgery doors will be closing at 6:00pm on Christmas Eve (Wednesday 24th December 2025), and we will be closed on the Christmas and Boxing Day bank holidays (Thursday 25th and Friday 26th December 2025) and also on the New Year’s Day bank holiday (Thursday 1st January 2026).
The Surgery will be open as normal on Monday 29th – Wednesday 31st December 2025 and then resume as normal from Friday 2nd January 2026.
Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board have provided us with details of pharmacy opening hours in the area over the Christmas and New Year period:
The flu season started earlier this year and there have been recent sharp increases in the number of flu cases seen – and we have not yet reached the peak.
The Surgery will be receiving additional supplies of the flu vaccine tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday 17th December 2025.
We would therefore encourage those patients eligible for a flu vaccination, who have not yet received it, to contact the Surgery to make an appointment, ideally before Christmas.
