Antibiotic Resistance and Common Infections

Most common infections such as coughs, colds, sore throats, and ear infections are viral in origin and get better on their own with rest, fluids, and simple pain relief.

Using antibiotics when they aren’t needed can make them less effective for everyone — this is called antibiotic resistance.

Below are few links that will help you with  practical self-care advice for managing common infections, and also helps you understand when antibiotics may or may not be needed, as well as explains when to seek medical help.

By using antibiotics wisely, we can all help to keep them working better.
